A delegation from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu paid a visit for exchanges to Shandong Jiaotong University.

In the afternoon of April 10th, a delegation of three people, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, Muhammad Zamri bin Ibrahim, visited Shandong Jiaotong University for exchanges. Kong Weijin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shandong Jiaotong University, and Jiang Huaping, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President, met with the delegation.

Kong Weijin extended a warm welcome to the Malaysian delegation's visit and provided a detailed introduction to the school's teaching staff and student population, as well as the landmark achievements made in recent years in aspects such as teaching reform and scientific research innovation. He pointed out that there is broad room for cooperation between the two sides in the field of higher education. He hoped that the two universities could take this signing as an opportunity to strengthen in-depth cooperation in the joint cultivation of postgraduate students, scientific and technological innovation, and common key technologies in the transportation field, and jointly promote academic exchanges and practical innovation.

Jiang Huaping introduced the international education situation of our university and expressed his expectation that the two sides would carry out in-depth cooperation in aspects such as the dual-degree program, joint cultivation of doctoral students, reciprocal visits and exchanges of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as in maritime technology, maritime transportation, maritime logistics, etc.

Mohammad Zamri bin Ibrahim expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by Shandong Jiaotong University. He then provided a detailed introduction to the campus construction, the layout of coastal research stations, and the school-running philosophy of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. At the same time, he shared the basic information about the university's teaching staff structure, student cultivation, and academic program offerings, and expressed a strong willingness for cooperation and communication.

At the meeting, the two universities jointly signed the Memorandum of Cooperation Agreement, and issued letters of appointment as supervisors of doctoral students to three professors of Shandong Jiaotong University.
